After breakfast, your tour of Erg Chebbi begins. The first stop is Khamlia village, located in the desert near the largest dunes. Explore a Berber residence and enjoy the sounds of indigenous Gnawa music from West Africa. Visit deserted mines and the Oasis of Palm Trees. The small oasis town of Rissani, near the northwest edge of the Sahara, is equally important to see. Rissani is known for its picturesque beauty and for being a destination where visitors can still experience the true mystique of Morocco. While there, visit the famous market offering a range of items such as jewelry, souvenirs, spices, art, and crafts. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan pizza “Medfouna” for lunch before returning to the hotel in Merzouga. Get ready for a camel ride to the desert camp for a second night under the stars in Erg Chebbi.
After a sunrise breakfast, pack up camp and set off on camels back to the starting point. Collect your luggage before departing for Fez.
