This desert tour 3 days marrakech merzouga starting in Marrakech takes you on a journey through the Atlas Mountains, the Dades Valley, the Todgha Gorges, Erfoud, Merzouga, and Ouarzazate.

Day 1:  Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

 First, you will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech and, depart for Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou through the Tizi Ntichka pass, which has an elevation of 2260m (6,867 ft.). At Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, also you will have the opportunity to visit this UNESCO world heritage site, a fortified village known as a Ksar. Then you will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in Ait Benhaddou. After lunch, we continue on to Ouarzazate, where you will visit Kasbah Taourirte and the cinema studios of Atlas & CLA Studios, known as the “Hollywood of Africa” where many famous movies were produced such as Lawrence of Arabia and Sahara.

In the afternoon, driving to Boumalne Dades via the Valley of the Roses, known for its extensive harvest of roses used in the production of perfume, rose water, and cosmetic products. Before reaching your small hotel located in the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Dades – Todgha Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel Ride

Take  an early breakfast, after you will leave your hotel to travel toward the Sahara Desert. We take a road drive along the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” and discover many Berber villages scattered along the way. Then you will arrive at the Todgha Gorges, a series of limestone river canyons in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Moreover, a stop in Tinejdad to visit a Berber village famous for its palms and in Jorf to visit the old Canal of Irrigation. Next is Erfoud, a town in southern Morocco where you visit workers of fossils and the Market of Dates.

Finally,  Arrive at the edge of Erg Chebbi dunes where you will embark on a camel ride and journey into the Sahara Desert. Also you will trek through the sand to a small oasis in the middle of the dunes, where you will spend the night camping in a Nomad Berber Tent. Here, you will be able to enjoy the clear sky and stars, and you will be served dinner under the Saharan skies or in the restaurant tent at the camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Last day after a sunrise breakfast, A break camp and ride your camels out of the desert and back to your original point of departure. After a shower, breakfast, and collecting your luggage. Then you  start your way back towards Ouarzazate to Marrakech. Along the route, you will stop for lunch before arriving in Ouarzazate in the afternoon, after a short break you will continue to Marrakech.
