First, the Desert tour marrakech 5 days starts After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your hotel and embark on our journey. We’ll leave Marrakech and head to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, passing through Tizi Ntichka at an elevation of 2260m. Ait Ben Haddou is a fortified village (Ksar) that’s truly spectacular. We’ll have lunch at a traditional restaurant in Ait Benhaddou before continuing to Ouarzazate to visit Kasbah Taourirte and the Atlas & CLA Studios, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Many famous movies, such as Lawrence of Arabia and Sahara, have been filmed here.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll drive to Boumalne Dades via the Valley of the Roses, famous for its extensive rose production for perfumes, rose water, and cosmetics. We’ll end the day at our small hotel in the Dades Valley, where you’ll be spending the night and enjoying dinner.
After a hearty breakfast, you’ll start your journey to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, you’ll travel along the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” and see many Berber villages. You’ll also visit Todgha Gorges, a series of stunning limestone river canyons in the eastern High Atlas Mountains. In Tinejdad, you’ll stop to explore a Berber village known for its palm trees. You’ll also make a stop in Jorf to see the old canal of irrigation.
Next, you’ll head to Erfoud, a town in southern Morocco, where you’ll have a chance to visit fossil workers and the date market. Finally, you’ll arrive at the edge of Erg Chebbi dunes and embark on a camel ride into the Sahara Desert. You’ll trek through the sand to a serene oasis in the heart of the dunes.
For the night, you’ll be camping in a Nomad Berber Tent, with a campfire lit and music played on drums to showcase the culture. You’ll enjoy dinner either under the starry Saharan skies by the campfire or in the restaurant tent.
Following breakfast, you’ll tour the Erg Chebbi area and visit Khamlia, a village in the desert by the biggest dunes. You’ll also visit a Berber home and listen to Gnawa music, a type of indigenous music from West Africa. In addition, you’ll see deserted mines and the Oasis of Palm Trees. Another stop will be in the charming oasis town of Rissani, known as the capital of Tafilalet and a place to experience authentic Morocco. You’ll also visit the famous market, where you can find jewelry, spices, art, gifts, and crafts, and have lunch with the traditional Moroccan pizza “Medfouna”.
Later, you’ll return to the hotel in Merzouga and prepare for your journey to Erg Chebbi for a camel ride back to the desert camp, where you’ll spend a second night under the stars.
After a sunrise breakfast, we’ll break camp and ride camels out of the desert back to our starting point. You’ll then return to the hotel for a shower and breakfast and collect your luggage before starting towards Dades. On the way, we’ll stop at the canal of irrigation in Jorf and visit the Todgha Gorges, the highest gorges in Morocco. We’ll also cross the Valley of Roses and visit a cooperative of women that sells all sorts of rose products and other organic items. Finally, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and stay overnight in a hotel there for dinner.
Following your morning breakfast, you’ll head to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Berber village of Taddart for a panoramic lunch. After lunch, you’ll continue your journey to Marrakech. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your tour of Desert tour marrakech 5 days . End of our services.
